Hanover starting running back
Marcus Bazala has done all that’s
been asked of him and more for
the Hawks football team in his first
two games this year. Bazala had to
make the transition from running
back to quarterback in week one
against Dinwiddie. Something he’s
done in the past.
Bazala’s combined for seven
touchdowns through his first two
games; five of which came on the
ground against JR Tucker. More
importantly, Bazala has helped the
team to a 2-0 start to the season.
“I know the playbook extremely
well and think that’s a big part
to our team’s terrific start,” Bazala
Bazala will take over at quarterback
the rest of the season with
Cheatham out for the year.
Hanover senior, Rebecca
Hoover, has been in top form
this volleyball season. Her play
has helped the Hawks get off to
a strong 8-3 start and notch some
impressive wins, including a hard
fought match against Midlothian
The outstanding talent and hard
work of Hoover has been displayed
throughout the season. The libero
has tallied 5 kills, 14 aces, 16 assists
and a remarkable 72 digs. She credits
her play to the rest of the team.
“Our team is a family. The
chemistry between everyone allows
all of us to play at full potential,”
Hoover looks to keep her success
rolling as the postseason approaches.
