So far many of the student-athletes are breaking their own personal records, while others such as Leila Haynesworth are running just where they left off.

Haynesworth came into the outdoor season after a very successful indoor season and after her first meet in the 2013 season she won the 100m hurdles.

She is not the only one hoping to continue their success. Senior Rachel Gaunt hopes to make this track season memorable.

“It’s my senior year and the last track season I am in so I want to make it special, and break my previous records,” Gaunt said.

On the boy’s side they look to their senior leadership to carry them through to yet another successful year in both distance and sprinting.

Only time will tell if the athletes hard work will pay off as the track team makes their push towards districts.
